Obi, Yoruba for kolanuts, are used for the daily communication between the initiate and the Orisha. In divination they are cast and depending on which sides show up or down the sign is interpreted. Here you see red kolanuts in their most positive sign, sometimes called “eji’re” (two in luck), “obi yan” (obi is accepted) or simply “beeni” (yes). Two lobes are closed and one male and one female lobe are opened up. This tells about the world being in harmony and is a very stable and prosporous sign. Everything fine with this sign on your T-shirt!
